Raised in small-town Mississippi, founding attorney Lauren Majure learned to appreciate music from an early age. The daughter of a music teacher and lumber trader/avid outdoorsman who loves classic rock, Lauren was immersed with all genres of music from Classic Rock to Contemporary Christian and everything in between. It was this love of music, passed down by her parents, which drove Lauren to sing in the choir, play the piano, and pursue Entertainment Law.
Lauren received her B.A. in Business Administration and Marketing from Mississippi State University. While at Mississippi State, Lauren was a scholarship member of the MSU Chamber Ensemble and Concert Choir.
After graduating from Mississippi State University, Lauren attended Middle Tennessee State University on full scholarship where she was a graduate assistant to Management and Marketing professors and served as a member of the MTSU Concert Chorale. After receiving a Master’s in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing from MTSU, Lauren taught Business & Computer Technology courses at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, TN and tutored at the collegiate level for several years before deciding to attend law school to pursue Entertainment Law.
Lauren received her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. While at FCSL, Lauren interned for the Jacksonville Film and Television Office, acted as a student Bar Representative, Torts I/II teaching assistant, and served as President of the FCSL Entertainment Law Society. Lauren was instrumental in the production of the annual FCSL Sports & Entertainment Law Forum, participated in Hubbard House food drives, and has also volunteered with the Duval County Special Olympics.
In addition to her Entertainment Law pursuits, Lauren has over 10 years of experience in Marketing, Business Development, and Consulting. As such, she has formulated targeted marketing campaigns, advertising content in both digital and print formats, managed social media platforms and has assisted with small business formation, business accounting, and taxation at both the state and federal levels. Lauren also has over 15 years of retail management experience from assisting with the management of her family’s jewelry and gift shop, Majure Jewelry & Gifts, located in her hometown of Quitman, Mississippi.
Lauren’s love of music and experience in entertainment, business consulting and management led her to form Majure Law, which focuses on the following practice areas:
